SHIPPING INFORMATION

(Deliveries for Midland)                            We do NOT have a "DELIVERY" option on our website. If you would like an order to be hand-delivered within the "city limits" of Midland, TX, please call 432-570-4040 and speak with a gift shop associate to place your order! There is a $10.00 delivery fee charged per address. We also have a cut-off time for same-day delivery requests and during the month of December, we reserve the right to not offer hand-delivery shipments due to it being the busiest time of year.

Summer Shipping

Warm Weather Shipping (March through October/November)

Due to the heat sensitivity of our handmade gourmet candies we reserve the right to add $8.00 (for ice packs and an insulated container) if temperature dictates, to ensure the quality and freshness of your order. Normally, the summer shipping season lasts from early to March through the end of October.

• Since we can’t control the temperature of the shipping carriers' warehouses and vehicles, orders placed on Thursday after the shipping cutoff time and Friday will ship the following Monday.

 *Due to the increase in online sales and to the current environment, we cannot guarantee timely delivery for FedEx Home Delivery, Ground, 2nd Day or Overnight shipping services as it is taking longer to ship orders. Your order will arrive, however it may take a few more days than normal. We appreciate your understanding during this time. 

 

 Susie's South Forty Guarantee 

The high quality and freshness of every Susie's South Forty product is fully guaranteed. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any purchase, please return it for a prompt replacement or exchange.

 

Address Accuracy  

Be sure all addresses are correct and include zip codes and applicable apartment, suite and floor numbers. Business addresses should also include the name of the company. If the addresses are incorrect, an additional shipping charge of $15 will be billed to you if we have to reship the item or if the carrier corrects the address and charges us for the address correction. We will charge your card for any corrections.

 

Shipping Confirmation 

On the day that your order ships, you will get an email providing you with the tracking information for your order. If you are looking for this email, be sure that you check your Spam/Junk folders. Some email servers will automatically drop this email there. Also, some email servers are configured to automatically reject something that looks like an unsolicited email (and the email will bounce back to us). If this happens, we will not attempt to email the confirmation again (and your account will be flagged to no longer receive email from us). If you want to receive this email, you will have to configure your email service to allow emails from our domain.

 

Post Office Box Delivery 

We can deliver to post office boxes. However, if you choose to ship to a post office box, it will add at least 3-5 days to the normal shipping time (sometimes longer than 7 days from the ship date). We strongly recommend that you provide a physical address for all shipments to ensure that the candy arrives as fast as possible!

 

Order Processing Time 

Because Susie's candy is freshly made with no preservatives when you place your order, we have to have time to process the order after you place it. Normally, we can process and fill your order the same day you place it. If you want expedited shipping (2nd Day or Overnight), you must have your order to us before noon on any given day for that order to be shipped on that same day. If your order is received after noon, we will try and get it out that same day, but there are no guarantees.

If it is our peak season (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter and Mother's Day), the time to process your order will stretch to 3-5 days due to the high demand of our products. This includes all expedited shipping options! If you place an order for 2nd-Day shipping during our peak season, we will process it as fast as possible... BUT your order may not ship for a couple of days. See the chart below for cut-off dates for holiday orders.

Taxes on Orders 

Susie's South Forty Confections is required by law to collect sales tax on shipments to addresses delivered within Texas. Susie's South Forty Confections is also required by law to collect taxes on shipping charges for orders delivered with in Texas. Any shipment going out of the state of Texas will not be charged sales tax.

Additional Charges and Fees  

Minimum Order Totals: When placing an order, you must order at least $20 of merchandise. If the subtotal on your bag is less than $20, you won't be able to checkout.

 

Shipping to AK or HI  

For orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, add $50 to the shipping amount shown on the chart above.

2nd-Day Shipping (Express)  

For 2nd-day shipments, add $20 to the shipping amount shown on the chart above.

Overnight Shipping (Express) 

For all overnight shipments, add $50 to the shipping amount shown on the chart above.

NOTE ON EXPRESS SERVICES: Express delivery services (2nd-Day and Overnight) do not operate on the weekends! If you select Overnight delivery on Friday, your package will not be delivered until Monday. If you select 2nd-Day shipping on Thursday, your package will be delivered on Monday! Also note that not all express services are not available in all areas (some rural addresses can not receive overnight delivery).
